PHILIP KUSSELER the owner and guide has gained a very good reputation in the guiding world of South Africa. He began by gaining experience at Tshukudu Game Lodge near Hoedspruit where he worked with the lion breeding project and other conservation projects. Now Philip has reached the highest qualification one can get in South Africa as a field guide; SKS (special skills) dangerous game. Philip has been riding horses since he was a little boy and living in Africa was always a childhood dream.

GERTI KUSSELER followed Philip to Africa for the same reason - the passion for animals and African wildlife. Gerti has been riding horses since childhood and has ridden competitively back in Germany. She is responsible for the training and care of the horses, as well as looking after the kitchen, the administration and the staff.

ANA SITHOLE our chef and has been with us since 2000. She is a fairy in the kitchen and bakes the most beautiful cakes and deserts. Ana has been introduced to the cooking by Gerti, but has now far overtaken Gerti’s cooking skills.

SOLOMON MOAGI has been our foreman since 2000. Without Solomon Wait A Little would not be where it is today. His loyalty and working power as our foreman is irreplaceable.

CLARE MORRELL and KATIE SPITZMAUL are our two wonderful stable managers who take it in turns. Both Clare and Kate are 100% dedicated and work 24h to ensure the well-being of the horses.

PRECIOUS SITHOLE is our therapist who we have recently trained to do our massages. She has been employed by us since 2002 and is a long standing member of our team!

AGNES MOAGI, THEMBI SITHOLE AND ANTHONIA MAFOGO are our wonderful cleaning girls. They work hard in the laundry and the kitchen to ensure everybody is comfortable.

ANDREW MOAGI AND INNO MAHLO are our grooms. Andrew is responsible for the well-being of the horses when we are at Makalali whilst Inno is looking after their well-being at home.

PETER MOAGI is our gardener. We have a large garden and Peter is working very hard every day to ensure that it always looks beautiful.

REXON MAHLO, LUCKY MABELA AND ANDRIES MALETO are our guys working in the stables. They help with the horses and as well as doing any building or labour work that is required.

DUIKER LEHLWANE is our man in the stables. 40 horses make a lot of work and Duiker does a great job.

JACK SMITH our handy man. Jack has worked for us for about a year now, he is cheerful, enthusiastic and always willing to help when something requires fixing!

CRAIG CATTO is our farrier, who has been working with us for about 10 years. Along with his lads Franz and Innoc, Craig is doing a fantastic job keeping all the horses feet in top condition.

THE DOGGIES: Not to be forgotten - they (think) are the most important team members! Lisa, Hilda, Olga and Norah Jones.
